Put Your Services on Vacation
You can save money by putting internet, TV and/or telephone service “on vacation”. This suspension of service can be for up to 6 months in a calendar year. Services automatically come back on after 6 months or earlier with 2 business days notice.You are required to have your Hay account set-up on auto-debits to use this service. Email hay@hay.net with the services you want to suspend and the date you want the suspension to start. You can no longer call us with this information.
Add a Mobile Travel Plan
Don’t wait until the last minute to talk to a Cell Service Specialist about your mobile needs when you travel. You’ll get tips on how to manage your data and the best travel plan for you and your family. Call 519-236-4333.TIP: Did you know there are no mobile plans we can provide when you are on a cruise ship? You can only get service through the cruise line. Our plans would cover trips to shore.
Unplug All Electronic Equipment
Unless all your telecom equipment is plugged into a very high-quality surge protector, your electronics are susceptible to lightning strikes, power brown-outs and surges.It only takes a few minutes to unplug equipment before you leave. This also allows your equipment to install any new updates when you get back home.
Update Your Security Contact List
Not all security notifications require emergency personnel to be dispatched. Many alerts are from temperature & water sensors or even battery failures. Update the people AMP Security monitoring staff contact in case of any event as well as your own personal information, BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Call 519-263-2677.TIP: If your security system still uses dial-tone for 24 hr monitoring, you cannot put your telephone service “on vacation”.
